Safe in China

We are finally here! My mom picked us up at our home yesterday at 8am, and 27 hours later we arrived at our hotel. The flights went pretty well (delays, mechanical problems, lots of turbulance but we made every connections and arrived safely). We are planning to see parts of Beijing today. Our hotel is beautiful with every possible amenity. So far Beijing reminds me of any large Western city. We are looking forward to seeing it soon in the daylight.
