- LID: June 21, 2006
- LOI: February 21, 2008
- PA: March 4, 2008
- LOA: April 4, 2008
- TA: May 2, 2008
- CA: June 16, 2008
- Travel Dates: June 5-June18
Abbreviation Guide
- LID (Log In Date): Date China receives dossier.
- LOI (Letter of Intent): Letter requesting to adopt a specific Special Need child.
- PA (Pre-Approval): Day China gives initial approval to adopt a specific SN child.
- LOA (Letter of Acceptance): Letter from China giving final approval.
- TA (Travel Approval): China grants us permision to travel to China.
- CA (Consulate Appointment): Date we go to the American Counsulate in Guangzhou, China. Determines the specific days we travel.
- SN (Special Needs): Special adoption program in China for children with a special need.
- WC (Waiting Child): Another name for the SN program.

Congratulations on your PA!! It's a GREAT feeling to be one step closer!!! Praying for a speedy LOA for you guys!! We are still working on our dossier.... so we might be a bit behind you there. :) So exciting about us getting PA on the same day!!
