Abbreviation Guide

LID (Log In Date): Date China receives dossier.
LOI (Letter of Intent): Letter requesting to adopt a specific Special Need child.
PA (Pre-Approval): Day China gives initial approval to adopt a specific SN child.
LOA (Letter of Acceptance): Letter from China giving final approval.
TA (Travel Approval): China grants us permision to travel to China.
CA (Consulate Appointment): Date we go to the American Counsulate in Guangzhou, China. Determines the specific days we travel.
SN (Special Needs): Special adoption program in China for children with a special need.
WC (Waiting Child): Another name for the SN program.
